Fincato Rodolfo

Rodolfo Fincato was born in 1947 in Abano Terme.
He attended a Senior High School specialized in Art (Liceo Artistico) and the Academy of Art (Belle Arti) in Venice.
In 1973 he moved to Rome, where he began to teach Art in Middle School.
For his students he organized and managed many workshops of painting, serigraphy, ceramics and glass.
He left the school in 2007 to devote himself only to the artistic activity.
In his works he uses different materials: bronze, glass, Plexiglas, interpreting with sensitivity the dynamism and the potential they contain.

Critical review of Donat Conenna
To get into Rodolfo Fincato’s world is like to see the film of all the Twentieth Century arts, the arts of the short century, when becoming experimentalisms were the centripetal (and also centrifugal) subjects of researches lasted a space of a morning (the inauguration one, see Biennale of Venice).
But Fincato is not such kind of artist. He’s a congruent bronze period, and, with the glass works and his teaching, in schools up to 2007, and now at the “Bottega”, where he directs young learners, he nurtures this feeling with the Plexiglas, with manufactured towers, where he puts colored faults, free from every spatial restriction, which gives to the translucent stele a sense of framed instant conservation.
An instant which is structural and also a symbol of the world’s entropy. It’s a philosophical work, “Cut in the Universe”, as the Author said, registering emotionally the microcosms which the Plexiglas, with its lights and its refractions, offers to the consumer.
No ifs or buts, it’s a contemporary art, which sublimates, for its conceptual fascination, the Dorazio’s structural thought of the colour as a dimensional fact: from the two-dimensional surface to the parallelepiped.
